Will Joe Rogan’s Podcast Be Harris’ Game-Changer

Harris’ potential appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast could be a critical move to sway young male voters in a tight race against Trump.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris

United States – Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is free to appear on an episode with Joe Rogan, given that his followers give much preference to young men for her desperate bid to win over young men’s vote, insiders said on Monday.

Harris Campaign Targets Joe Rogan’s Audience

Harris campaign officials had discussions with Rogan’s team this week ahead of the last days of the US Presidential campaign, but no appearance has been agreed on yet, according to the two sources who have information on the matter, as reported by Reuters.

Rogan, the host of the most listened to podcast in the United States, has a carefully chosen and obsessively loyal audience base, which is counting in tens of millions of people.

The interview will make it possible for Harris to sell herself to him as he keeps his followers informed and continues to build her base amongst male voters, especially black men. According to many public opinion surveys, it indicated that Republican nominee Donald Trump might over-index among young men of all races.

The vice president put out a new batch of policies on Monday targeted toward black male voters, and her campaign is increasing efforts to engage a reliably Democratic demographic.

A Strategic Move to Counter Trump

Her campaign also stated that she would be appearing as a guest on Fox News, which airs content many of it biased, some of which is in direct support of Trump in its day-to-day programming.

On Monday, Trump also suggested that he also expects to be a guest on the Joe Rogan podcast before the next election on November 5th.

Trump Eyes a Rogan Appearance as Well

Trump and Rogan have exchanged barbs before. So right up to August, the former president insulted Rogan on his Truth Social application but later described him as a good guy.

Ironically, in 2022, Rogan mentioned that he would never vote for Trump, and in August, he shared that he would vote for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Kennedy has since withdrawn from the presidential race and has endorsed Trump.

The appearance could prove to be a tonic for both Harris and Trump as polls indicate that the race between the duo is very much going to be a close one and will depend on results from seven battleground states.

Rogan’s Influence Could Impact the Tight Race

In March, Spotify (SPOT.N) said that “The Joe Rogan Experience” had 14.5 million followers, far more than triple the number of listeners of the second most popular program. He also follows over 19 million on Instagram and over 17 million on the YouTube channel.

A poll conducted by YouGov early last year showed that 81% of his listeners are male and 56% are under the age of 35, thus fueling the assumption that he has a direct line to a group that polls suggest leans towards Trump more than Harris, as reported by Reuters.

Rogan signed a new deal with Spotify this year alone, which is believed to have been valued at up to $250 million.
