Trump Promises Final Bid for Presidency in 2024
Given Kamala Harris’ formidable opponent, Trump has pledged to abandon his political career if his bid for president in 2024 is unsuccessful.

United States – Republican candidate Donald Trump vowed that if he fails in the November 5 election, he will not again run for the presidency in the United States. “That will be it,” he said in an interview made public on Sunday.
Trump Declares “That Will Be It” for Presidential Bids
The 78-year-old former president said on Sharyl Attkisson’s “Full Measure” program, “No, I don’t,” when asked if he envisaged himself running again in four years if his third attempt at winning the presidency fails. That, in my opinion, will be it. Not at all, in my opinion. Hopefully, we’ll be prosperous, as reported by Reuters.
Trump is likely to have a stiff contest with the Democratic candidate and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, with the two candidates sharing similar statistics in surveys carried out in the key swing states, which will probably inform the final outcome despite Harris now registering marginal improvements in national polls.
Despite his 2020 defeat to Democratic President Joe Biden, Trump has persisted in his baseless claims of systemic fraud in the elections. He has been charged in federal and state law enforcement over his bid to nullify the elections’ outcome. He has categorically denied any culpability and has presented his charges as a politically motivated witch hunt against him and has become more and more dictatorial if he is to be voted out in 2024.
He has also gone into several business ventures during his current campaign, some of which include Trump Media (DJT.O), NFT, and Trump sneakers and coins and crypto.
Harris Focusing on Basic Issues in Campaign
Harris at 59, has Monica portrayed race as one that determines the direction of democracy in the United States while also trying to tone it down and bring it to basic issues such as costs facing families, cost of housing among others.
Trump Reflects on Time Away From Office
Asked whether the four year break helped him regroup and figure out who he could trust as allies, Trump said: “It would have been easier if I did it … contiguous.”
“But the benefit is more than anything else; it shows how bad they were,” he added.
The same was said by Trump in an interview with Attkisson conducted in his Florida resort, where Trump added that it was too early to make deals with people regarding any position in his White House cabinet in case he triumphs in November, as reported by Reuters.
